I am trying to get a list of links for modelling suppliers in the USA.
Because the Chinese banks only accept US dollars, everything I buy on my credit card overseas gets converted to dollars first (+ fees), and then gets converted to Chinese Yuan (+ fees).
I want to reduce my costs and so I am looking for links to suppliers for modelling tools, timbers, RC gear, electrical, books, bits 'n bobs, etc.
So to our friends in the USA, please tell me of any good suppliers you have used and their websites.
Thanks in advance.

This is a great link for parts that need to be custom made to scale. Most parts come with mold.

TT, there's also Hobby King at http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store/uh_index.asp (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store/uh_index.asp) I know that it's not in the USA, but it is a mail order company that deals in US dollars. It's good for electronic stuff, such as radios, servos etc.

Hi Peter
Hobbyking, sadly, does not trade with mainland China. Probably something to do with agents and licenses. Very annoying not being able to access the website here in China. Even more annoying not being able to purchase from them, as they seem to be based in Hong Kong.
