Dear All,
I am trying to find a small battery pack for a BT cordless phone. The batts. are NiCd 3.6v 300mAh, and made up of three small cells. The make is shown as GP.
I have tried all the normal suppliers and can't find suitable packs so far (small yes, but NiMh), but has anyone seen such as I need anywhere please???
Any help would be much appreciated - it would be a waste to bin a perfectly good phone just for the sake of the want of new batts..
Regards, Bernard

Bernard,
Does the battery pack have a part number, if it does you can google that.
Failing that google the phone model spares.
There are some specialist battery companies that specialise in replacement batteries and I am sure you are aware most manufacturers use ready available batteries.

Hi Bernard
The Component Shop do a pack for phones.
3.6V 330mAh 2/3AAA NiMH battery pack
30.8mm wide x 28.5mm high x 10.5mm thick. Universal connector.
You dont have to have NiCd, you can replace them with NiMH I did. :-))

Dear Bob & Dicky,
Thankyou very much for your replies.
Bob. There is indeed a part no. so will give this a go as you kindly advised.
Dicky. I had seen these packs with them, but you have answered the main question (my main concern), about the NiCd/NiMh 'difference'. I was concerned about the charging compatibility between the two types and any possible risk of creating a fire risk by using NiMh. Obviously you haven't noticed any 'heating' (and your house is still standing!), so all must be ok in this direction.
Thankyou again both for your v.helpful replies.

Dear Guy,
Yes, I noticed that thanks. Glad to hear you had success, and it looks as if I won't have to bin a perfectly good phone!

Dear Martin,
Thanks for that.
For everyones interest, the Link below supplies the exact same battery as originally supplied in the unit. Google good idea Bob! I know the NiMh are cheaper, but it keeps my mind at rest! There are all sorts of batts. on this website... ok, might be more expensive, but, if they have a batt. that can't be found elsewhere it's worth it!!!
Thankyou all for your help, and I hope someone might find the Link of use.
