Title: Caltex Lumba Lumba by Sterling models

Hi,trying to find out what model or make this maybe not sure if it was a Caltex vessel or not there is other parts in the hull life boats horse pipes its 38 inchs or 97cm long timber formers balsa blanking

Yes it is the Caltex Lumba Lumba by Sterling models. I have a half built model of it.

Hi Joe, well there ya go I only bought it from the bloke next door who was having a garage sale for
$5 I have no info about or plans there is 4 life boats a mast and some hores pipes and some hand rails do you have the plans with yours ???

I'll see if I can find any remnants. When I got the model the plans were cut up.

Hi all .ok I have this Caltex Lumba Lumba (thanks to the forum info I know what it is) model by Sterling its 95% built,has prop tube no shaft and no prop.
Queston, what size or pitch prop do i need the model is 38 inchs or 97mm long

My model has two Graupner 2:1 drive units with 400 motors and two bladed 35 mm props.

Thanks Joe............ok so it should have two drive shafts or drive shaft tubes,looks like im stuck with one,well i only have half inch or 12mm clearance from drive tube to the hull so the prop can,t be any more than an inch or 25mm dia. unless the drive shaft was extended with a steady or what ever there called?????
