I thought that I would just post these few pictures of my Tito on the lake breaking the ice,

Me ?, as if i'd say anything :}

Got permission from spanner to go out again today :-)) :-)) {-)

GAWD!!!
Makes me want to crawl under my duvet with a hot water bottle just at the thought of it {-) {-) {-) %)
-
Yes crawling under the duvet is a good idea but as YOU dont live with the spanner you escape the fate worse than death and venturing out into the cold with something you love is the better option O0 and the spanner stays at home under the duvet {-) {-)
besides I want to check a little more on the Tito, since I changed props and lower shafts I seem to have the old problem of thruster kick on full power.
The thrust over powers the steering servo, its not bad just a little annoying and I thought I had cured it but that was with the plastic props. now with the 5 blade brass the tugs got lots more grunt and will force her bow up onto the ice to almost expose the BT.
Its the first time I have used the FULL power on her motors as in normal water she drives great and at two thirds of full speed she looked the Dogs :-)) with just the right amount of bow wave to keep me happy.

You happy ? never !!!! :}

Oh, how fun it would have been to see that video! Sorry, but it would. <:(
Hama.

Back from the lake <:( as I thought the thrust is just that little bit too much for the servos, when running full power it now has a slight stern walk of to Stbd.
There is easy ways to cure this
1 dont use full power
2 fit 4 blade props
3 fit even stronger servos
1 = >>:-(
2 = >>:-(
3 = >>:-( >>:-( removal of the deck is not the easiest thing to do to Tito.
And what power has it got now well I would think that it has increased by at 25% in my honest opinion. I know that I did not use full power in normal use but to put this vessel to a test of strength the ice was a good way to do it. If I ever got to go head to head with another tug then FP would be needed and to loose some steerage is not the best. so I will return to the drawing board over this little problem.
