Tony Hart (Vision On) passed away earlier today.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7836112.stm
He inspired many generations with his 'art' programmes.
How many remember 'Morph'?.

Vision On, Take Hart. Watched them all as a kid (and with my kids) and loved them. :-) A brilliant guy.

Used to watch him on the TV when I was growing up. Am I the only person to think he looked a little like Benny Hill?
-
yes,

He must have inspired the creative urge in millions and to think he did it on a TV program designed for deaf people, which a high percentage of the rest didn't even realise!
Ufortunately no-one has really taken his place and we remain short of people to inspire that creative spark nowadays. I have always held Tony Hart in the same high regard as Johnny Morris and early Blue Peter with Chris Trace, Valerey Singleton and John Noakes, all a big part of my own childhood.

Sad lose indeed. I used to like watching him.
Inspired me a bit to.

R.I.P
I even sent a picture to the show when I was about 6 years old.
What an inspiration. Who would have thought art could be made entertaining, let alone a TV program.
