Title: Fast or Quick ?
Post by: john54 on January 22, 2009, 02:45:42 pm
Hi Guys
I was just wondering. You often see boats advertised as fast electric what's in your opinion is fast?  I think that over 40 miles an hour is fast below that I would just call quick or do you think it is just a question of scale. Your ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

In car terms, Fast is in a straight line and quick is round the corners or on a track  :-)

It all depends on class.

If a hydro or rigger was doing 40 MPH it would be a tortoise, if a .21 size mono is doing 30, then it is fast!

I'm used to my boats doing anywhere between 40 and 60.

Some fast electrics are now extremely high performance and can get speeds well in excess of 100mph.
