The instructructions should be on the manufacturer website.
There is no setup procedure as such but you do have a kill switch cable.
The neutral pos is fixed and there are five throttle span settings.
The frequency setting is to suit your motor.

Connect the yellow and blue to a motor, the red (+) and black (-) to a battey.
Nothing should happen.
Connect the lead to a receiver the motor might "kick" or spin for a second.
Move the transmitter stick to ensure you get forward and reverse.
There are instructions on the Electronize website.
The red/orange wire is the switch lead.
You can connect the wires together for testing, but will need to fit a propper switch for running.

They are fine, good reliable units as long as you have the reverse switch on the unit the right way.
The  reversing switch sticking up should be energised for astern and you don't overload the Speed Controller.

Hi dan, i have used elecronize controllers for many years with no real problems. 1 has even survived a sinking i just dried it out in the airing cupboard for a week & it worked fine after. i have also found the company very helpful with enquiries & service

The switch sticking up in the perspex cover naturally sits with 1 set oc contacts closed with no power on unit.
That is the way it should be set up for ahead in the boat.
Th change it just switch the servo reverse.
Do this before finally connecting in the model.
Then just follow the instructions.

The "reversing switch" is actually a relay - switch operated by the gubbins inside the box.  If it is operated for forward, it will flatten the RX battery rather rapidly because its operating coil will be taking current.
