A good idea suggested by someone else! :-))
Would it be possible to have a section devoted to what motor/battery/prop combination other members have fitted to whatever boat they have built? It would possibly help prospective builders plan their internal layouts I think? Something like this:
Name…. Boat…. Scale…. Motor…. Battery…. Prop(s)
U-33 Tamiya USS Missouri 1/350th 2 x Mabuchi 280 4x 2000a/h AA 2 x 20mm plastic
-
Name…. Boat…. Scale…. Motor…. Battery…. Prop(s)
U-33 U-33(U-212 class) 1/96th Mabuchi 385 7.2v 4300 nicad pack scale 50mm seven blade scimitar whitemetal

Nice idea Martin, but.......
the propeller diameter without the pitch is of limited value. The number and type of blades would be handy too. Probably wise to have a place for any speed reduction as well.

This list seems a good idea as we are always getting questions like this.
It might be better to run the list vertically, using a master.
item 1 ************
item 2 ************
item 3 ************
etc. ;)

The idea of this was just give those building a new boat a rough idea of what others had used for power and propulsion in a similar build Dicky...
Oh well, I thought it may have helped.

A lot of people have already done that on my link Rich :-))
Martin has a short memory, he started the topic. {:-{
