Title: Anyone know what this is?

We've been trying to find out what hull this is for ages, it was found some years ago on a tip about to be disposed of and was rescued. Ignore the top, it is all redone. What is the hull? about 40" long by 12"

It is Bernard's yes, but we were talking about it yesterday and decided to try and find out what it is O0
