i have connected two  6 volt batts to get 6 v by 8 aph red to red black to black  which is the best way to take power  is it r and b  from one batt  or red from one batt and black from the other batt

Normal way Gordon is off one battery.  :-))

Makes absolutely no difference - all the reds are at the same potential and all the blacks at t'other

It could only make a difference if some of the wiring couldn't take the full current - but that won't be the case 'ere

Red off one and black off the other is better, better balanced lead lengths.
