Look in the "Tugs and towing" section. The tuggers have large (ish) models to haul around. I`m sure there are some builds there. There is also a Great Lakes bulk carriers site on the web somewhere with build photos of at least one of the Lakers. Try a Google search.

Cut frames.

Stand them up on a keel and place a
sub deck across the top of the frames.

Cover with Balsa.

Fiberglass

Umi

Twenty three words - many hours of work

I wish many of the reports I read at work were as succinct and accurate as your summary.

hi just thought i might add this. use plenty of making tape to hold thigd down small clamps you can buy from b&q cheap and realy effective. mak sure wood glue is water proof obviously. a small vise is really good idea to have make sure its small though. a decent scalpall set is another really good one could be pricey but worth having.
another tool which i think is the best boat builders aid is a dremel multi tool i really do recomend buying one again not cheap around £30 but trust me it worth having.
apart from that take your time enjoy your build and enjoy runing your boat. if you have all thetools above then youll be just fine. all that lot will really make your life easier. hope this helps

cheers menor95 :-))

A salutory warning.................take up something less addictive eg, any extreme sport, sex, booze, or any permutation thereof ;).

Didn't think there was any other way ok2, mind you I do tend to suffer from the occasional attack of Wobbly Hand when In Extremis - you try cutting and/or sticking bits together whilst also concentrating on other extraneous activity/ies ;)
