Title: Radio Controlled 1.8m 1:150 scale model of Titanic
Post by: Andy888 on May 29, 2009, 04:31:25 pm
Does anybody know who is the manufacturer of this 1:150 scale radio controlled model of Titanic?

I have been searching, but I cannot find out who it is.  Here is a link showing everything about it, although I wouldn't use the company advertising it personally, but I do want to find out who makes/sells it.  http://www.rchobby.co.uk/ready_to_run_model_scale_large.html

Cheers,

Andy

From what I have been able to find out, they are probably built in China for Howell Model Ships, a Canadian company. However, the waters get a bit murky when you try and find out more. Good luck.

Thanks for that Rick.

I noticed this company before, but I don't trust any company who doesn't have their own shop or even a known website.

Cheers,

Andy

I can't see haw she looks up close but the hull on the water looks nice for what ever that is worth.

Does it come with a WTC so you can sink it at the pond? ;D

I,had a model of their 1/150 Bismarck and it was reasonably well made, but there were a few issues with it,namely the prop shafts were not to scale and the pre-fitted motors, looked as if they,d been taken from a lucky bag, they were crap, had i paid the full price for it, i would have been pig sick, but as it was less than £300 i did,nt feel too bad,btw they are made in China

I am new on this forum and just came across this post.

The manufacturer is KunMing HaoWeiEr

http://www.hwmodel.com/yw/index.htm
Their 1,9 mtr Titanic is good value for money (680,00 euro). It requires some modification but the 1:150 scale makes the ship perform well. This also applies to their aircraft carrier Nimitz.
The other big models (Bismarck and Missouri) are also manufactured by other ROC factories and look less attractive.
