Hello
It's is better for her to die now rather than 88 years ago isn't it ?
Anyway are you sure to go up to 97 years old ... Nice life time !

It does make you think doesn't it? That lady was born into a world which is almost ancient history to us now. How things have changed!

scary thing that the day she died was the same day the Titanic was launched
althought 97years of a differance
-
"But in the last years of her life, she began struggling with monthly bills of £3,000 at her care home and had been in danger of losing her room."
"She began selling some of her Titanic-related mementoes to raise funds, and in April a canvas bag from her rescue was sold at auction for £1,500." It was bought by a man from London who immediately returned it to her.
How bad is that, Nice to see the buyer returned the bag and other people finanly chipped in to help out.

I'm confused at that. The lady died just this week (May), but I thought the Titanic was launched in April, and sank on the 14th.
Have I got my history dates wrong (again)?

Titanic launched 31st May 1911, fit out completed 31st March 1912

Ah, right. Now I understand what Gingyer was saying.
Thanks for the heads-up.
