hi,can anybody help me with the spring kit for the futaba skysports t4yf,,,i was told by the futaba dealers what i needed and it was the wrong part,,,the wrong part number is y-ma8036,,,and this is wrong,,,ive been run round all over trying to get the right part,,,,and i dont know where or what part no it is,,,many thanks ,,,,

You need to talk to the man at A Model World (sorry cannot remember his name) he used to have the parts in stock.

Failing that, you're welcome to the ones I robbed from a Skysports 6-channel radio. I'm uncertain of the compatibilty, whether the 4-channel gimbals are the same as those in the six, but maybe worth a go.
-
This is the aforementioned gimbal. It has the metal wratchet installed, but also comes with the spring and plastic arm installed already. You simply remove the metal wratchet and then remove one crosshead screw in order to bring the plastic sprung return arm back into play for self centering of the stick.
Maybe yours is different after all. Or maybe the spring and plastic arm might just work.

hi pmk,,,,,,,thanks for the offer,,,but i dont think that one will work,,,,it looks very close,,,but it might be the wrong one and i dont want to waste your time if it is,,,where your spring looks to go over the end of the arm,,,mine has a tiny plastic bit on the side,of the end of the arm and it hooks over the tiny lip,at the end,as opose to straight over the arm,,,many thanks anyway,,,but keep trying guys,,as ive scratched my head alot about this <:(
-
How about this one?
-
hi,,,,many thanks for the help,,,realy,,,,,but the one in the second picture is the one i baught that was wrong,,,so if that is diferent to the one on the gimble in the first picture, then the one in the first picture might work??,,,,,
-
Like I said, I'm unfamiliar with your radio. Any chance you might put up a picture, that I might glean a better idea of the one you're after? It's possible that I might have something here that might work... if only I could see how your one looks.
For what it's worth, I have cobbled a spring return from a Hitech radio and stuck it in a futaba radio -- works perfectly. Maybe you can do ditto, maybe a little ingenuity on your part with a few basic tools might might yield a result.

hi longshanks,,dont supose you have a part number or anyway to describe the part when ordering,,,would come in handy,,,as ive already paid 4 quid for the wrong part once,,,cheers :-))

I've had a good rummage through the junkbox and, unfortunately, cannot find anything even remotely similar. The ones I do have, they all seem quite a bit larger than the one in your photos.
Sorry, old chip.
-
thanks anyway, was kind ov you to try :-)
