Title: smoked plastic sheet?

Anyone recommend a supplier for smoked plastic sheet for windows for a luxury motor yacht please?

i would suggest either netmerchants,  4d modelshop or EMA as a first place to search...

i know netmerchants do small quantities of plastic sheeting, i know they do clear sheet but not 100% sure about smoked ?

 4d modelshop will get it in if they dont have it too

In the past, if I wanted to have "tinted" windows I found the easiest way was to leave one layer of the protective sheeting intact. Seems to last OK. BY.

Martin is making so much money running Mayhem he has bought himslf a "luxury motor yacht". however, he want's smoked glass windows in it so that none of us can see it is him as he glides past.  ;)

Raboesch sells several colors of plastic sheet in two thickness'.
Their "Bronze" or brown tint works really well in for smoked glass windows.

Midwest used to supply it in the USA, but now only distribute the really thin stuff... blech...  {:-{
I picked up my last four sheets of the thicker material in a model train shop in Amsterdam.

The bottom half of a Ferrero Rocher box works very well...........

I bought a sheet of flexible dark plastic for the car, to darken the windows. Would this work ?

It's never been used as it was reported to crinkly with the heat in summer, but it might be tough enough on a model.

Tamiya do a 'paint' that smokes the inside of car bodies or aircraft canopies.

'Custom Colour'  does a smoked translucent spray finish for use on the inside of clear polycarbonate model car shells. I used this product  for the smoked glass 'acetate' windows on my schooner and was very satisfied with the end result.
Cost about £4.
