Title: Shroud cord to suit Kyosho Seawind
Post by: newboy on July 18, 2009, 08:50:44 pm
One of the shrouds on my Seawind has just snapped and I am trying to find out where I could purchase some suitable spare cord. Any suggestions.

Try a fishing shop for trace line - its stainless wire coated in a thin plastic. Secure it by running a loop through the fixing point and back through a crimp tube, crimp and job done!

I used this a lot on various sailing models - works well.

You could use braided fishing line.

You could also try www.sailsetc.com They do Dacron cord at 25kg, 45kg, and 60kg breaking strains on in, I think, 100m spools.
It is cheap.

you can buy stainless wire in clear plastic sleeving for closed loop systems on model aeroplanes from any Hobbiestores or Als Hobbies.
