Found a pic of a gent on the o.m.r.a site (Weymouth meet) seen him on the telly but cant place him :((

I was at Weymouth aswell but didn't venture outside the trade show. Saw the celebs pass through but no idea what they were there for sorry.

They were there to have a go at two AA class boats. They were filmed doing it for the telly far as I know.

They was filmed by the TV not sure which channel. They both did very well when they was racing each other however ruining the boat into the harbour wall at full tilt did nothing at all the the OMRA member who let them use his boats and went to alot of effort to make the whole thing possible

Having said that it has to be said the boat came out well which is a testament to the man who made it and let them use them. However his poor wife had the job of calming him down for the next hour.
All OMRA members was asked to attended to make the site to make it look busy. Most of us got feed up with waiting for the crew to show up and had found a nice dry pub to sit down in. I did return in time to see them race and crash.
