Hi Tom,

Agree with the above. I last bought plans two years ago (at 1/48 scale, like most of their plans) for a 230ft torpedo gunboat - lines, profile and deck plan - and the prices quoted then were as follows:

Midship Section.1888   1:24   £16.92
Rig,Sails, Outbrd, Weatherwk, Fittings.1888.NPC1   1:48   £16.92
Hold. 1888. NPC1626   1:48   £16.92
Lower Deck. 1888. NPC1625   1:48   £16.92
Upper Deck. 1888. NPC1624   1:48   £16.92
Profile. 1888. NPC1623   1:48   £16.92
Sheer Draught. 1888. NPC1622   1:48   £16.92
Collection   ADR//1058   Sub total:   £118.44
Research    £11.75
Post     £8.23

They are very helpful, but the more information you can give them the better. In particular, make sure theat the drawings you order represent the ship at the period you want to model it. Even then, they may not be "accurate" as they often represent what was intended rather than what actually happened.

You may be right, Tom. I build in 1/48 and that is the "standard" NMM scale, so I've never needed drawings reduced. They will probably charge you even more to scale the plans down!

Don't worry Tom. The NMM are not proud - they will take anybody's money! And separating you guys from you hard-earned dollars all helps our poor old economy.

Good luck

Rick
