Found this site last week. Been interested in boats for ages. Downloaded Jif65 plans as a starter model. Does anybody know of a boating lakes in the Barnsley area ?

Hi cosmoman, welcome to the madhouse. you will find loads of help on here its a great forum. have a look here for boating lakes http://www.modelboatlakes.co.nr/  Im sure there are many boaters in your neck of the woods. Its worth hunting out a club & getting down to the lake as most modelers are only to willing to give advise & if you ask nicely you can usually get a go of their models too

The Jif65 will be my first boat build. Been looking to build a 1/24th scale static model of a offshore powerboat with trailer but can't find any scale drawings. Main interest is trucks and cranes.
