well chaps i have been busy refurbishing a model i built over 12 years ago, after i had stripped it of all it's gubbins and ballast (it's the pykey in me) i gave it to a mate at work for his son, well i now work with the son and he asked me if i could get it working again, so i did..
the tug is built on the plans of a tug called the snowcem i think they were in model maker magazine back in nineteen canteen and as i had worked on the real thing in its later years as the general III i thought i would built it as another name it had sailed under, Vortex. so here are a few snaps as it came in and how it looked today on trials. am pleased with the way she handles and tipping the scales at 2 and a 1/2 stone once she gets rolling she makes the right shape hole in the water!
