Hi
Just a question for all you guys who know a lot more about boats than me. I've built a my first model of French harbour tug and I'm now in the final stages of adding deck fittings. First Question - what's the difference between V shaped Bollards and normal straight ones ( I hope I've called these things by their right name)
Second Question - I need 4 quite long ones for the front of the boat about 35mm x 6mm I've turned a couple on a friends lathe from metal but they look too good any suggestion where I can get some of the right size or what I could make them from to look more realistic, I've bought white metal ones for the rest of the boat but couldn't find any for the front which looked right. (Theirs no strain on the front Bollards just decorative)

If you have already made one in brass then you have the pattern to cast your own.

Hi
I've never tried to cast anything before I'm very new to all this, I never even thought about doing it that way, just thought it was beyond my experience but I'll give it a go, thanks for the tip
