ive gone brushless with the 4 foot huntsman 28, not quite there yet with final set up, align 1640kv 600l motor, castle creations hydra reversing esc, 1.5:1 gear ratio, 19.2v nimh, yesterday ran with 2 x 9.6v (19.2v) 4600 mimh packs, and 55mm "x" blade prop, after about 15 mins going quite fast, things started to get a bit warm, so think it was a bit over propped.
Recently tried same set up, but with 52.5mm prop, with 6 cell 5000mah lipos, for approx 15 seconds it was absolutely ballistc :embarrassed:, but then a lipo cell died. After doing some research, I am going to drop to 5 cells, and test with smaller prop, just waiting for the 2 cell to arrive, to pair with a 3 cell I have, I think if I try 6 cells again, something will blow up, and paypal is well and truely empty!! :}
