hi please could you advise on some good books on steam engines and boilers for the beginner please so when i get my boat and all the good stuff i know what to do with it thank you.

You could do worse that to get hold of Richard Simpson's recent series on marine steam in Model Boats magazine. He posts on here as Bunkerbarge. If you already subscribe to the magazine you can view all the articles online. If not then you can get back issues. Three of Richard's articles are available to view by anyone:

Hi,
Search TEE Publications titles.
KN Harris's 'Model Boiler & Boilermaking' is a must.
Also try Camden Bookshop- they have online store- anything by 'LBSC', Tubal Cain.
Also Stuart Turner have a few books that are worth reading.

Good basic starter book and up to date, a lot of books are not ,try flea bay you see a few cheap

Another very good book for starters is the Tom Gorman "Scale Model Ship propulsion"
