Title: Repainting models

I was looking at one of modle yesterday and she could do with a good repaint really but theres a lot of detal on like rivits and decals i know the paint would have to be stripped down to bare wood again but what do i do about the detail parts mainly the decals this is the model in question http://www.flickr.com/photos/19759955@N07/4240766130/in/set-72157623128550332/
