I have a componenet that has broken, but it is fixed into a slot in a boom with CA.
Can this be debonded?
Or do I have to repalce the whole boom as well as the broken part?
Any advice or tips welcomed.

Can it be done? Yes. Can it always be done? No. Depends on how accessible the 'bond' is to the debonder. If the bond is 'hidden' inside something that isn't exactly porus, expect it to take much longer than if the 'joint' were exposed. Also depending on how much time/money you have to invest in the debonding, sometimes it's easier to just remake the @#$ thing. 'Gnawing' on the bonded parts seems to help.

PS - If you try the 'gnawing' thingy, please take pictures! Blow up the best picture and hang it on your wall. No idea what 'good' it'll do, but makes for the perfect 'lead-in' for one of them tall tales... "Who, me? I ain't never!"

Cyancrylate can always be debonded- it`s just depending depending on the material how. You can put it into warm water, or cook it out in boiling water, or dip it into white spirit or Acetone.
Hope this was out of any help? ::)
