Title: Kestral motors
Post by: brianc on March 08, 2010, 05:41:45 pm
Hello gents,
Has anyone any experience with Deans Kestral motors?
Deans  website does`nt give any detailed info concerning these motors and I would like to know how good they are.
I`m thinking of installing them in a 1/24 Sboat.
I would be very grateful for any feedback :-))

Deanes Kestral motors are excellent bri, I have them in my PT boat and my PGM gunboat.

They are 5 pole, sooooooooooo quiet and smooth and dont really need suppressors though I have one on each.

I run mine on 9.6V NiMH battery packs and have water cooling.

One motor in each boat.

Ive used a 7.2 stick pack and just started using Lipos 11.1  3 cell pack.( the lipos with care so I dont discharge too low)

Im building a TID at the moment so that will be a totally different set up (12v).
