Title: A little advice please
Post by: AlanP on March 19, 2010, 10:14:43 pm
I am building a stretched/modified Higgins Hellcat. It is 32" long with a modified stern. I am thinking of fitting two speed 400 motors running off 7.2 or 9.6 volts but I have no idea what size props to use. 3 bladed right and left handed, but what size.
Any advice would be appreciated

I'd start at 30mm, my 25" Hellcat is running a 35 on a 540 motor

Alan,
Why, the shorter version wants to jump out?

The trouble is things jump out and hit the small one  O0 the new one will have brakes  :-)) saves on P38  :-)

Did take it and had a little go but it was too windy to really try it, looks like it will be ok though.

The Hellcat did much better with the trim tabs on, like a bat out of hell, and I didnt need p38 when I got home  O0
