John, you should be OK with that Decaperm motor, I have used only them in the last thirty years and the originals are still running well.
Good luck with the restoration.

Hi Chris
As i said in the text i am not able to even think about restoratoin (Due to my shakey hands & arms :(( Its me that needs restoration as well as the boat :}
-
Glad you bought it! I would love to see her running with all that old school radio gear in her. As for the fiddly bits of detail you could always just no do them for now and just get her water tight and running then take her out and play!!!! O0
-
Hey John,
It would be a shame to do too much to her and lose her history so to speak. If you can get her running as is I think you would get a lot of enjoyment sailing her.
Best of luck with whatever you decide.

I'm sure Phil won't mind me saying, have a look here http://rcmb.forumotion.com/t249-my-veron-mfv-restoration :-)) . One was on e-bay a couple of weeks ago along with a Veron tug, I think the pair went for £120, I was a bit luckier last summer, got one for Jack, £4-99 :}

Thanks grub I am now the latest member.
