Title: Schnellboot S100 - colours
Post by: sinjon on April 24, 2010, 11:33:11 am
I am building the Italeri Schnellboot.
Has anyone else has worked out Halfords car spray colours for this boat.
It looks to be a very light grey and quite a dark grey.

Thanks Martin
A lot of good info and pics, still no paint matches though.
Thinking through, car spray paints of course are going to be gloss, can you over spray with satin to 'dull ' them ?
However I did manage to find a crewman set for the boat - Azimut Productions, Paris.

Hi Sinjon,
I used spray can of car white primer on my 1/24 scale s boat for hull color this is a flat finish, then finished with a light spray from a can of matt polyurathane furniture varnish.

Have had s boat for a number of years with no detrimental effect to finish.
