I dont know what scale you are building in but I got some photo etched checker plate from john Haynes
for a 1:96 destroyer. it is excellent

This is plastruct 1/48 scale, but works fine for my 1/32 Mustang build

Larry, Have you tried contacting Squires? I get such items from them, and if you write/phone them, ask for a catalogue; it's free, hundreds of pages, and is renewed every year if you order from them during the year. Very fast mail order turnaround, and orders over £10, no post and packing charges. HTH.

Hi Larry, Try your local Model railway shop if you have one, That's where i get my checker plate from.

does anyone know where you can get brass or alloy checker plate from for a 1/12th project it needs to be a metal as it is going near a boiler.
