Title: Joysway sea drifter
Post by: mrbrushless on June 01, 2010, 09:42:34 pm
I have had some ideas how to improve the seadrifter.

before I do

would anyone know the flex shaft size and motor shaft size. I think a hexflex couplign would be far better.

an octura x430 or 432. should make the boat run better.

polished the whole boat glass smooth  :}

Hi mrbrushless,

Polishing the bottom of a fast boat doesn't make it faster, it causes drag.

Fast electrics have the running surfaces scuffed with 600 grid sandpaper (wet) so the surface is dull.
This causes a waterfilm to cling to the hull which acts as a lubricant, the pickup in speed and acceleration is noticable!
