Hi, on behalf of a chum, may I ask if anyone has or knows of any steam launch style plans on the net that are free downloads?
Naphtha or even motor boat would do as long as there's a hint of the Victorian/Edwardian style to it.
The dampfpinasse on some site or other I've seen is not easily scaled and has a strange bump in its lines that leaves me less than convinced.
many thanks,
Regards,

Hi Vintagent
Thought this site may be of value. Small steamboat plan on this page.

Thanks, Tony, but that is the one with no scale on it which he's having difficulty pulling together.
As it happens I had a drawing in my own collection which I should have remembered so I scanned it in and sent him, a wee fantail launch with a single cylinder engine. Quite sweet.

Hi Vintagent
I realised after posting that was the craft you weren't interested in. Like building a model kit -- Read the instructions first, or like a school teacher would advise his pupils "engage your brain before opening your mouth".
Glad you managed to get your colleague sorted with a Fantail Launch plan.
Best Regards
Tony.

Tony, please don't apologise. I'm very grateful for the reply.
It's a nice boat and I haven't downloaded it myself, but apparently it doesn't scale.
Anyway, my chum is now researching innards although it's to be a dummy steamer as he, like so many of us, doesn't have the dosh for RTR real steam and alas has no workshop to make or I'm sure he would.
