Hi there.
You lucky man, what you have there is a Veron FPB circa 1968 and very nice too. This is a restoration I will look forward to seeing. Good luck, it will make a great model

Anyone know what class/prototype the Veron FPB was based on? Or was it a semi-freelance design? Looks a lot like a larger Brave-class with a funnel. (This might help John with finding plans/references for building his model, even if the instructions for the original kit aren't available there might be plans for the real boat type it was based on)

Excellent find, BTW! Never found anything boat-related on a dump/skip myself, except for an old non-scale "galleon" decorative model on a neighbour's skip a few years ago.

Hi John I also have a Veron F.P.B which i brought ready built about 4 years ago at the Raunds  Model Show. I do remember the original kit, showing my age now!! I Can help you out with a full size copy of the kit plan also building instructions and fittings and deck detail instructions and photos. The instructions describe it as  reasonably  scaled from a 102ft armed coastal high speed craft by Vosper Thorneycroft Group. 24 where built for the Royal Malaysian navy 3 for the Kenya Navy, and 2 for theTrinidad Coast Guard. The model Is H.M.T.S. Courland Bay. Just cotact me if you would like copy of all the above and iwill post to you  Dav

I have just been given a partially built Veron Vosper FPB Courland Bay but unfortunately  there are very
incomplete plans. I noticed that Biggles1 may have some it would be most appreciated
if he is able to help me to complete the model.
It has been to built to be a single screw, but I suspect it is a twin,  am I right
I was advised that the Royal Navy did order some - Is this true?

These Veron FPB's seem to be popping up everywhere!! I have just bought one, in reasonable condition, which I plan to 'smarten up'. The aerofoil thingy behind the bridge appears to be a bit heath robinson on mine. Can anyone photo copy that part of the plan so that I can make up a replacement. It has a Hectoperm 12v motor so I am hoping that it performs to scale OK. Anyone have more history on these craft, this one has HMSS Courland Bay on it which is one of the Trinidad & Tobago Coastguard boats. I would be grateful for any pictures, plans etc. Mike :-))

Hi coalhouse and ukboats I would like to help you guys out with plans, but my supplyer of large photocopys has retired from his work place. If you contact johnhambridge or triumphjon i sure they can help you as both had plans from me. The model did originally  have a single screw as it was meant to be powerd by a glow or diesel engine. Dave
