Title: Gluing transparent plasticard windows into wooden frames

Which glue should I used to fix in my 1mm transparent Plasticard windows. All the frames are wooden. They could be glued on the edges of each window or on the surface near the edge (or both!)

I used 5star CanopyBond to glue the windscreens on my little runabout but any glue that dries clear should do.

Don't use superglue as it will fog the transparent plastic.

I use R/C Modellers Glue from Deluxe Materials.

560 Canopy glue - water soluble in use, waterproof when set, and dries clear.

'Odorless' superglue doesn't fog but test first.

Yes I found super glue to turn most clear plastics milky. Wasn't sure if straight PVA was OK or even Evostick Resin W. In fact my son has 560 in his box and I should see him tomorrow. In the meantime, simple solution > > > I've cut out the 12 windows and have lots f scraps. I'll make up a quick frame also out of scrap wood and try The Resin W cos I have plenty to hand. Otherwise, it'll be the Canopy 560.

All my previous boats have been sailing craft. But this one is different. It's a 1/8 scale of a Cape Codder Houseboat. It's at the undercoat stage. The hull and all the gables, dormer boards and ends will be blue:

B&Q sell a waterproof Evostick wood glue in a tube that drys clear and if you make a mistake you can peel it off the glazing.

I use canopy glue as it dries clear, and doesn't fog.

 . . . Yes it's an 'ouseboat! My wife says its a floating doll's house!

I went straight for it with Evostick Resin W (Weatherproof).

It's still 28ºC in my workshop (29ºC in my bedroom . . . how am I going to sleep?) The glue is setting fast. I left it 5 mins and then carefully wiped it off the window. Then again to clear the thin film left. Should just buff-up when completely set. It's started to go transparent already. Back in January, it took 2 days to go clear!
