Hello all, I’m new to this game, thanks to my dad (madmax).
I have just finished my first boat which is the slipway shamrock, good boat but I need something else now.... and I cannot decide....
I wanted Our Lass, but after seeing it today at the Kirklees open day it’s rather big for my house (I have a spiral stair case).
Wanted to some suggestions on a nice kit, plenty of details and good to build... however, not plank on frame, well not just yet... I have 10 years plus of model building behind me so does not have to be easy...
Cheers Ryan

The Model Slipway Sentinel is a nice size with plenty of detail.

No expert by any stretch of the imagination Ryan but your boat looks superb. Quite a few good sailing spots round the Curry capital of the world.
Regards Ian.

Thanks Ian, there is a few minor faults but i dont think its too bad..... I only know of batley where the club is.

Very nice job, Ryan :-)), and it looks as if it goes well too. I have the Shamrock plans, and it's on my "to do" list.
I second DickyD's comment about the Sentinel. I built one several years ago, and it's an excellent kit of manageable size with good performance.
Peter.

It does go ok, very true to scale. I an thinking about upgrading to brushless, but i need to fully under stand them first. I do agree that its a nice kit but it is very similar to the shamrock, in fact i was very close to buying on, but i do want something a bit different. Ive been thinking about the graupner rensaw (not sure how you spell it) that has many options such as motorising the crane, fire pumps, life boat brand ect. Just not sure!
