Title: Graupner Glasgow Steam Plant
Post by: tony52 on August 16, 2010, 07:59:19 pm
Hi

I am in the process of restoring a tired Graupner Glasgow paddle tug, fitted with the steam plant which is available for this kit. Does anyone have a copy of the user instructions/technical spec. for this unit. Any advice would be most welcome. Postage costs etc would of course be covered.

Thanks

I've built the Glasgow up to deck level and have their write up. I don't know how much information there is about the steam department so I'll have a look tomorrow.

The instruction sheets were in several languages and not that informative, but there might be something useful.

Hi Tony,
It looks like they used a Wilesco D48 in it. I have the D48 instructions some where, I will try to find them and send you a scan. I think Walter on Paddleducks has used one in one of his models. I have used the engine in my launch, but have used my own boiler and Burner.
Regards,
Gerald.

No information on Steam plants, I'm afraid. Mine were the boat's assembly instructions.  :((
