Tallin
Is amazing, we went earlier in the summer. Make sure you visit the old town and have a good walk round.... You will see on the walls of some of the hold buildings a plaque with a potted history of the buildings. makes for interesting reading.
Just oustside the ferry terminal is a couple of indoor markets, lots to buy if you like fake designer gear but one market stall did have a load of military memorabillia. If you are a smoker then get your smokes here as sweden and Finland are more expensive. Many Finns do the booze cruise to Tallin like brits do to callais.
Ill post a few pics up later
Helsinki
Ive only been there once even tho I have been in Finland 2 years. Have a ride on one of the trams and check out some of the Finnish food.
There is a very nice model and craft shop there called Hobby Point, some of the staff speak a little English but be warned it is pricy. Its about 10 mins walk from the train station. If you want directions let me know

The Indoor market in Tallin I was thinking of is called Satamarket
Some food to try in Helsinki
Korvapuusti... its a Finnish pastry thats very nice with coffee. You should find them in any coffee shop.
