Has anyone had any recent issues with the grey128 paint

I use mostly Humbrol 64, but a little while back the mix was changed to make it more air brush friendly.
And gotta say I always stir with the battery operated stirrer, it is superb.
So good that when my first one burnt out I bought another, but repaired it and run it off a 6v 3 ah battery.
I only mentioned this as the pigment can stick to the bottom of the tin.

Hi all, I made a paint mixer device from a small battery operated 'coffee whisk' bought very reasonably from Ikea - all I did was remove the frothing coil at the end and bent a right-angle in the wire shaft.  Be warned though lads - I have ruined one tee shirt  ;D  and recoloured the walls  ;D in Mountbatten Pink.

There is a remedy to this (which Ive done) get an old tin lid (humbrol tin lid) drill a little hole through the centre of the lid so you pass the shaft of the mixer through and then when you come to mix your paint put the lid on so it gets all the splashing inside. (and not on the outside like what I did lads :P)  Hope that makes sense.

Who are Squires? I just googled it, but can't find anything obvious...

... just looked again. Is it this company?  http://www.squirestools.com/ (http://www.squirestools.com/)

Bob, is there a brand / product name I can quote?

Pete.

look in your local pound shop first,  often my local ones  sell a battery powered coffee frother/ stirrer for your cappucino...

for a pound, all you need to do then is bend  shrink the stirrer bit so it goes in the top of the paint pot, insert your batteries... and bobs your uncle....

That's the correct Squires.

They have a Badger Paint Mixer - catalogue code 8121 price £11.99

Squires have no P&P but a minimum order of £10

I've always had good results by simply stirring with a small flat bladed screwdriver. Each to his own, they say and I'm certainlly not criticising anyone but its not so long since we had a very long thread about stirring paint - stirring paint !!. This is nearly as interesting as watching it dry. As the estimable FLJ might say "suit yourself"
