Title: Brush-Less Motors with Programmable ESCs
Post by: sunworksco on November 04, 2010, 10:51:00 pm
It is getting easier to mate BL motors with programmable ESCs. Robbe and Hyperion are selling lower KV BL motors in the 850KV or less range for marine use.
With the new BL ESCs, made by Robbe and Castle Creations, with programmable software tools and data logging, it is possible to get the correct percentage of RPM curves. You can program the ESC for soft start and scale top-end speed. This not only sets the required parameters for moving your boat but keeps the motor and ESC cool running.

John
