Title: USS Holland Submarine
Post by: sunworksco on November 05, 2010, 03:58:44 am
I'm getting ready to metal spin some 1/12TH scale USS Holland submarine hulls out of 6061 aluminum sheet blanks.
I'm spinning 4 sections, then butt-welding the sections together, then hard anodising black.
The superstructure will be fabricated out of 316 stainless-steel sheet and hard-silver soldered together.
The turret and deck fittings will be lost-wax cast out of 342 brass.
The rudder/elevator frame section will be fabricated out of 260 brass and 316 stainless-steel.
Any constructive advice is very much welcome.
Regards,
John
