Just joined the Forum yesterday after purchasing a Monsoon 900. A terrific thread on the build of the boat!
Mr other passion for many many years now is racing and collecting 1/4 scale RC dirt speedway cars.
My current 1/4 scale sprintcar racecar.

Very vintage US racer look about them. Any youtube vids of them in action ?

Hey arrow5,
You know you USA cars! The bottom 2 are replicas of 1960 American dirt track racers. They don't go anywhere near a race track, other than to sit in the pits and look cool. Both are way too rare to even consider even doing some hot laps. The top car is the one I race currently at our track in Sydney and other tracks around Australia.
Thanks for the interest.
Check out my 1/4 scale club's website for more info and videos of our cars in action.

Yep, as a kid I used to listen to the U.S. Armed Forces Network and heard the Indy 500 commentaries when the cars were all front engined and Offenhauser powered. Did you ever see Mickey Rooney in "The Big Wheel" ? Atmospheric B&W tale of a back county boy`s rise through the dirt tracks to the Indy 500. I was that driver with my orange-box cartie for weeks {-) Thanks for the link.

Yes arrow,
I have that on DVD. Great watch. Another terrific movie on a similar theme is " To Please a Lady" starring Clarke Gable and Barbara Standwyck

Thanks Bob , I`ll have a look for that one.
