Good morning Friends...inspired by craft Lulonga, and Santa Ana...i took a 5% inspiration from these craft, and 95% my imagination...and for impatient hearts..see video here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxVYv5m-2jA
-
as usual i started from here..the motors...i took two gearboxes from toys and found one with enough tourque..but its motor was too weak, and designed for 3 volts..so i rewonded it to a 6 volts spec.now its ok...so started from expanded polystrene...
-
then covered in tissue papers...
-
then putty...
-
and with enough width and length...
-
making paddles was a head ache..so i tried to get some balsa strips for me..but they ask a lots of money for that...( for that price i can buy a good second hand Honda scooter..hi..Hi..)so i tried from foam board...at first i cuts four circles by help of my old faithful drill...
-
after that sliced some strips from 6 mm foam board...
-
and at last i finished it...
-
and tested..at begining it gave me some head aches...but after controlling its speed it was ok...
-
and see..how beautiful thing is...
-
yes its too nice...
-
i fix a thrust pump at bow for a great directional control...made out of foam board...
-
sorry..i lost my connectivity...
-
it employs a speed controller system, based on TIP 3055x2, and a LM 378 as comparative amplifier for motor tourque reff:
-
and all structures from crawing paper...
-
i do not have a funnel like intakes..so i made it square..by paper...
-
and painting..no any costlier stuffs..but simple enamel paints...i added some face talcum powder in paint to get a slurry type finish on body...
-
and its a nice looking one after painting...
-
i tried to place me in it...but this doll wasnt in scale...
-
winch made out of paper and a whell scraped from an old vhs vcr...
-
Friends..i am willing to build a big paddler in to a 4 feet scale..any suggestions..? please..?

Hy Rathi
I for one think that what you do, with the materials you have to work with, is amazing. Think the smoke unit is excellent :-))

I am amazed at what you build using the materials that you have to hand full marks indeed. Keep on modelling. \all the best George.

Rathi.., that is a beautiful paddlewheeler. I love the way you build these models and electronics with minimal parts. You are a very talented person. God bless you.

That's a very cool boat. But the portholes look a bit too big...
-
rathikrishna you never cease to amaze me with your ability to produce such unique models from the very limited resources you have available. your enthusiasm & inventiveness is an inspiration to us all, long may you continue to impress us ( & dare I say embarrass us who have far better resources available) with your models.
cheers Glenn

good morning and thanks for the suggestion about the port holes.on next model i will make it clear...it happened because , i made it whole from foam board, by turning on a hand drill as a circle. at first i tried to cut it for the scale of 1:35. but my foam board wasn't in to a high quality..it starts to splinter at edges..so i made it a little bigger and sanded to this standard..so i will take care about all on next time..
-
Hello Rathikrishna.
I like your paddler very much :-)) :-)) and wish you success with your next model.
Regards, Jan.
