Hello .I Am new to this sort of website .My friend has been kind to show me what goes on ,when I have been to his house ,and as I am coming up to retirement ,,( early ) ,and have made a few models ,now a bit of time to see what is so exciting as to making model boats .Over the time I have been looking ,12 months or more ,there seems to be quite a few learned gents who share their knowledge with others .This is what will help me ,So hear I am ,I have been connected with the sea and ships for ny on 45 years .and met a few  characters .  Thanks for having me aboard .three knots .

It wont be one way traffic I hope, you must have a few tales to tell with 45 years of ships and the sea. Welcome aboard.  Start with a Springer, I`m a bit biased but it`ll get your feet wet and the basics of model boating in one fell swoop. O0  You forgot to put your location up, helps a lot, clubs, shops, lakes etc

Hi Three Knots,
Welcome to the modelboat  Mayhem, you'll get lots of very useful answers, plus the odd corny one, put your location on as it helps to point you in the right direction regarding Clubs, Shops etc
