Tried to put this on a couple of days ago, but couldn't get it to work!

Lovely model, and great showcase too. Did you make the case yourself too?

What is you technique for the glass and the corners? Is it possible to describe it on the forum? I want to make one for a 9" long lifeboat.

Hello Chris,
Thanks.    Yes, I did make the display case myself, but it is not glass.   It is 3mm acrylic that is actually clearer than glass and far stronger.   It can also be cut easily with a hobby bandsaw.    The wood moulding round the base is 18mm pine veneered with Steamed Beech veneer.    The case edges are Steamed Beech veneer as well.      I don't steam it - that is just the name of it!
