The Chinese are branching out into wooden static kits, this looks very well designed, our home grown manufacturers need to keep an eye on this, lest we loose this branch of the hobby to the far east also!!

It is nice to see an ebayer that takes the time to describe the item very well with good photos. The Chines seam to be at the top for this.
Looks a nice kit. You will have to do a build log if you get it.

I was talking to Jotika some months ago, and was given to understand that a few years ago the Chinese ordered one of all their boats. After a pause, they saw these starting to come on the market.
Not a lot you can do about it - no legal comeback, you just go out of business...
-
Not just the Chinese who do that. Viet Nam has a couple of model boat building firms, doing fully built models, and most of their range are copies from ALL the European kit manufacturers. Don't really know how they do them for the price they offer to Tourists in Ho Chi Minh, and some of then are well done. Some not so well. Not trying to say its right or ethical, but if living in that country would make a good start for anyone wanting r/c boats as balsa, hobby shops and kits as we know them are totally non-existant. They have been doing it for years, and do export, mainly to the US
