Im gonna do a fully documented build with pics to share with guys of my 1st gas F1 build,to run inboard, however i will be doing an outboard 1 aswell as soon as i can source the lower unit.
This is my biggest challenge and build yet.
Just hope it turns out ok
Hull is 1250mm long x 520mm wide

Yet another 2 more Boats Daz?
Surely to make space and finance these new projects, you will be selling some of the ones you have up on the shelves, even if its just to make space alone Daz.
Dont forget the club website has space for sales & wants if you do decide to retail a few.

May be something on the lines of http://www.bhhanson.com/ob%202.jpg (http://www.bhhanson.com/ob%202.jpg) - a Lawless Outboard Leg with a Hanson 26cc on the top for example?

Yep 2 more to add to the collection LOL,these will take me awhile to complete.
Iv gotta sort some hulls out then they are going up forsale as iv decided to concentrate on the F1's,FE and Gas 1's
When iv sorted them out ill let you know for the blog
-
Started transferring to wood,iv got a trick up my sleeve, mark once cut twice.
I had the 6mm ply cut into 4" strips,by placing a tiny amount of glue to 2 pieces where you gotta cut out,not the actual parts, once cut out you'll have 2 pieces exactly the same, saves time and uneveness.

Hey Bob
I use a bandsaw saw now,but still do some of it by hand :D
I can only dream of having proper tools for the job atm im stuck with a scoring knife and a jigsaw but the big bandsaw at work is ok if it decides to let us work on it (i have to say it it like some of the older members of boat clubs. Very temperamental)
-
And some more pics LOL
Finished trimming the new front bulkhead after changing the design of the front
Cut the first piece for the top of the nose, gotta make another couple moving further forward to support and add some strength in the nose,im going to add a slight curve top to the nose aswell.

Hi Daz, kindly remember, that once the dam and main lake repairs are completed, it could take quite some time for the lake to refill, [anything up to 2-3 years] then, CMBC still have to negotiate with the sailing club for permisssion, its not a foregone conclusion it will be granted yet, so its good you dont have all your eggs in one basket !
[ha ha]

Cheers bud i can start thinking about getting it together now and glued :-))
-
Now for CG adjustments and fixing the mounts.
Iv just brought 16 of these little pieces,im gonna work out the CG and have 4 different placments allowing easier adjustment,im also gonna put some epoxy on them the use some fibreglass cloth and epoxy to hold them in place, the 1 not being used will have some push in seals so should any water get in it wont fill the cavity up.

Started cutting out sponson sides and also gonna start on the center pod floor

You sure you not gonna need a pilots license for this one Daz ? [ha ha].
Looking good matey, presume you might put some polystyrene blocks on the sponsons? or might you be using expanded foam, simply for boyancy, plus may help stop them flexing so to speak.

Hope You & the family are feeling better now daz, presume the heating crisis is sorted now. [i Hope].
Some of the Chasewater MBC crew are off to the boat show Saturday, so pool should be reasonably quiet if you fancy doing some more testing Daz. I'll be there and maybe a couple of the other lads . I'm working am and sunday am, so cant go to the show :(

Hi Daz,
I should be there around 1.30 - 2pm matey.
Pusher tug n fireboat this time round !
My latet build [RMAS moorhen in biuld blog] is coming along fine, but waiting on steve to supply me with a pair of Korts, so i can setup the powerplant driveline/
had loads of fun with myhobbystore as their sub contractor/supplier of the styrene sheets decided to cut them all "by hand" without a single square edge to em. so did my "usual thing", complained like **** and they are sending some replacements out.
-
Cool ill hopefully see you there.

Hi Daz those strips along the edge would form the lip if you ever decide to mould it would just need to add a few more arround the transom area and inside the sponsons when its ready to mould :-)).Once you have the top moulded you can then remove those strips or sand em off with your belt sander :D and mould the bottom.
Good luck with the cowling ok2.
Mart
psi wont tell my daughter about the guineapigs :o

Shame but it happens im afraid once alot get to a certain size (not all) but they start to us as prey
-
A good friend of mine runs a hawking club in Yorkshire he flies a redtail hawk.I was going to get into it but dont have the room or time to justify owning a bop to be honest.I would love one if we had the room for a decent aviary as i dont like the idea of having them tethered.
Mart
ps hope that rabbit wasnt one of those from that lass on your facebook lol.
-
I miss my birds, been thinking of getting another 1,we'll see.
No them rabbits are forsale as pets,i buy the food for my reps frozen, then defrost them and chuck it in.
Want a rabbit got 60+ to sell :}

No thanks mate we got 2 guineapigs ,a dog ,a snake and lots of fish allready m8.If i get a bop it will probs be an owl as im not interested in hunting , i do like the bengal eagle owls,we almost got a barn owl just for a pet and for some fun flying but im too busy right now to have time to train em.Theres a peregrine up the street from me nests on a water tower and i saw it hit a pigeon ouch what a sight that was big explosiong of feathers haha.I only wish it would do the same to the seagulls on next doors roof grrrrr <*<.
