Title: Portable boating pool
Post by: Philipsparker on March 14, 2011, 09:56:12 pm
If I wanted to set up a portable boating pool in an exhibition hall, can anyone suggest how I might do this ?

I'm thinking 20ft long and about the same width. 12 inches deep. Must not leak.

Suggestions ?

You could try hiring the one owned by A Model World.

A number of clubs have them, but all the ones I've seen leak. Even if the liner doesn't, filling and emptying them is almost impossible without water spills.

I may know where there is one like this for sale, but it almost certainly would require a new liner.

Not all of them, Barrie. This is one our club owns, and has never leaked. As can be seen, it's quite big, and is usually set up on carpet in one of the function rooms of the Ballina RSL Club. We fill it with a fire hose, and empty it with a pump and have never had a problem, although I admit the the RSL Club manager was rather nervous until he saw the result.

You could contact SWAMBC. I'm sure they have a pool they hire out.

I'm sure it was Mike Knight who mentioned it to me and he is based in Bristol

If you have problems contacting him I have his Mob No

Hi Guys,
We at Hunter Systems will be attending the Show as normal. We look forward to seeing both old customers and meeting new customers in this new venue.
By the way, the local Holiday Inn is very good!!
Regards to all,
