I'm hopeless at maths so my son has built me a simple calculator that converts 1:1 measurements into any scale in imperial or metric.
For example: 1:1 measurement (real boat) = 123ft, type in the required scale you get the model size in whatever units you want. Simple but accurate.
It can also determine the scale if you have bought a hull (eg 32inches LOA and want to model a boat that is 27m LOA).

Great little tool for those who hate maths. I did one of these a few years ago for a guy at a local club but lost it in a PC crash and never got round to rebuilding it. Now I don't have to!
