Title: Prop shaft alignment - Tubing - ID 5mm
Post by: sailorboy61 on April 17, 2011, 05:55:17 pm
I'm trying to find a supplier for some 5mm inside dia to use in aligning up motors/prop shafts (temporary replacement of coupling).

I can find brass tube, but wall thickness is less than 0.5mm, which I think may be too flexible, so maybe steel with a 1mm wall.

Was wonder what suppliers other people use, and indeed what other methods they have for completing this task.

Thanks

I got some 5mm aluminium tube from Homebase, quite rigid stuff too.
