A mate of mine was running my old App Cat this morning. Going like Stink  %% I asked why it was MUCH faster now ? "Bigger 3 blade prop" he said. About 5 mins later it stopped ! A right mess (See pic) wires melted lipo blown ect ect  {:-{ Just go's to show what over proping can do <:(

By the way it WAS a 120amp (160 burst) on 4s 5000mah , 2075 kv motor.

funny that ive just been talking to somebody who has told me the hull was melting too !

Yes Mate  >:-o Think the resin melted ! All in all a bit of a mess. Lucky the lipo did not go up  {:-{

sounds like he was lucky to have recovered anything , once grp starts to melt its not long before you have a fire !  time for a completely new boat ?

Came very close to a fire the way the lipo puffed up  {:-{ It was to big to remove from the sponson (Jammed in) Anyway he's going to let me know if the hull is a right off. Will keep you posted.

not sounding too hopeful of being able to salvage the hull then ? is it a model that was being set up for racing this season ?

He (like me) dont race  ok2 Just a bit of fun on Sunday morning's. But not for him yesterday !!
